Academic Department Recommended Menu Items

Just as it is desirable to have a consistent set of navigation items across Faculties, it is easier for the person browsing the web site to find information if the academic departments have a common navigation.

The Faculty representatives on the Web Steering Committee have made some suggestions regarding starting points for the main left menu items for Departments and Schools. The following items constitute their suggested starting point.

Notes

  1. Regarding Programs: depending on the department, Programs could be Areas of Study or Academic Plans
  2. For departments without graduate programs, Research/Grad Studies would be limited to Research.

Most Faculties will want consistent navigation within the Faculty, so if you are responsible for the web site in an academic department, please consult your Faculty's web committee regarding choice of menus.
