Export/Import Adobe Dreamweaver Site Settings

Dreamweaver CS3 Export Website Connection Settings

  1. Open Dreamweaver CS3 > select Site > Managed Sites
  2. Select website "Academic Integrity" > press Export

  3. Select “Back up my settings (includes login, password, and local paths). Press OK

4. Save file with the .ste extension (.ste equals site definition file).

Install Dreamweaver CS3 Import File

  1. Dreamweaver > Site > Manage Sites > select Import

  2. Select the Site import file (.ste file)

Migration from XP to VISTA

Follow these additional steps if you migrate from XP to VISTA or you have saved your export file as, “share settings with other users (does not include login, password, or local paths)”.

  1. Next you will be prompt to “Choose local root folder for site “Academic Integrity”

    2. Userid and password are not carried over – these will have to be re-entered.

  2. Site > Managed Sites > select site > edit Note: in the site definition > Advanced tab > remote info > you will have to enter your login/userid and password

Once completed delete the old import key (.ste file)
