Backups: websites on the “info” server, which are usually academic-support departments, are backed up daily for two weeks. After two weeks to 5 or 6 months, incremental backups are done. Submit an email to request@ist if you need to restore a copy. For faculty web servers, please contact your faculty web master.

E-Commerce: Standards and Procedures at UW and Beanstream Payment System

Software:

UW Licensed - includes DreamWeaver, Contribute, Fireworks
Dreamweaver Updaters - Dreamweaver 8 requires update to 8.0.2 (you may need to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver);
FireFox - academic-support departments can choose to have this software deployed by IST to IST ADS managed workstations.
Forms - EasyForm - simple utility that allows for the collection of data from any web form hosted on an UW server.

Trouble-shooting

Dreamweaver, Contribute, Acrobat CS3 network connectivity issue after/during installation on a Windows 7 ADS machine?
Dreamweaver CS3 and Windows 7– in Site settings, may not be able to browse to the appropriate ‘Local path route”. Solution: manually enter the ‘Local route path’ instead.
Contribute 3 and 4: Adobe does not officially support under Vista: Installs and runs with minimal known issues one being that FlashPaper does not work. Contribute CS3 is supported under Vista.
Contribute won't open and displays an error message 'Entry point not found'
Dreamweaver 8 issues on Windows Vista
Dreamweaver or Contribute with Flash Video object: Embedding a flash video object using the Insert Flash Video command might create a cross-site scripting vulnerability. Solution and more information and Security Bulletin
Internet Explorer (IE) 7 and Printing problem
Internet Explorer 8 is available but caution for installing if using any campus applications
Flash/Flash Player: Security update to Dreamweaver/Contribute 8 and CS3 - Insert Flash Video command and Adobe Flash Player 9.0.124.0 (link also checks your current version)
