Going Live

Once you have completed your testing, it is time to "go live" with your new site. If you have been working in a new folder, the simplest approach is to have the names of your old site folder and your new site development folder switched.

Do not remove your old site immediately. Let some time go by to ensure that you do not need to access any files from the old site.

After some time has elapsed, you may feel that the old site can be removed. However it is highly recommended that you take a backup of the site, perhaps burning it onto a CD or DVD, before deleting the old site.
